When one dies, their memories go with them. This is a sad loss in itself. The memories program began with a fictional book and has moved on to so much more. This program encourages for volunteers to go in to nursing homes and talk to residents and encourage them to tell you their stories and let you write them down.
The Memento Project aims to create scrapbooks illustrating the lives of residents and containing biographies, so that when the shell of a person passes on, their relatives may have something to hold and remember.
