Nursing Home Abuse has many forms. It is not only an accumulation of neglectful acts committed by the staff of a retirement facility. It is more than a list of intentionally rendered actions and circumstances. Nursing Home Abuse is an epidemic in the United States of America. Many nursing homes simply do not possess the funds with which to adequately care for their patients. Instead, these facilities do the best that can be done to function at maximum adequacy given the significant lack of volunteer staff, equipment repair, and vital supplies. Our organization seeks to supply such facilities with the items which they desperately need so that the gap between the best that can be done and what the patients deserve can close. We distribute donations and organize events to educate and recruit members of the community about the quality of life experienced by patients and how to improve it.
Though Generations! began as a mission to distribute books,needs are growing beyond that scope. That is why we are now changing from Generation! Book Donations to Generation! Donations. We are two branches now.Still, we hope to establish a love of reading, a love of books, and a love of learning and exploring new worlds.
